About Jimmy Clabots

“I’m obsessed with becoming the best CranioSacral therapist in L.A.”

Healing Beyond the Textbook

Jimmy is a Physical Therapist Assistant, Alexander Technique teacher, and CranioSacral therapist who integrates multiple disciplines into a practical, results-driven approach to healing.

His career began as a personal trainer in his twenties, but his real education came from decades as a high-level mover—performing professionally as an actor and singer at Disneyland while pursuing elite-level backcountry snowboarding and gymnastics. Injuries taught him what conventional training couldn't: that true healing requires more than managing symptoms. It demands understanding tissue health, movement quality, and the body's capacity to handle load. Frustrated by the limitations of traditional rehab, Jimmy dove deep into the science of tissue regeneration and neuromuscular coordination, ultimately discovering SoftWave Therapy as a tool to restart stalled healing in even the most chronic cases. Today, he integrates multiple disciplines—from fascia retraining to biohacking—into a practical, results-driven approach that treats the body as an intelligent system, not a collection of parts.

When he's not in the clinic, you'll find Jimmy snowboarding, researching regenerative rehabilitation, and spending time with his daughter.

What to bring

SoftWave Therapy

Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows easy access to the treatment area. Avoid applying lotions, creams, or oils to the treatment site on the day of your session, as these can interfere with the therapy. Drink plenty of water before and after treatment to support metabolic waste removal and maximize effectiveness.

If possible, avoid anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDs like Advil, Aleve, or Aspirin) before/after your session, as they can deplete glutathione pathways and hinder the body's natural healing response. Bring your ID, and be prepared to discuss your pain symptoms in detail. Arrive a few minutes early to complete any necessary paperwork.

CranioSacral Therapy Session

Wear loose, comfortable clothing—like yoga gear or sweatpants—that allows you to move and relax freely. You'll remain fully clothed throughout the session while lying supine or prone on a table. Since the work involves very light touch and deep relaxation, your body temperature may drop slightly, so bring a warm layer just in case.

Come prepared to discuss your health history, current symptoms, and what you hope to achieve. Bring water for hydration, and plan for a relaxed schedule following your appointment—avoid strenuous activity afterwards to give your body time to integrate the work.

Alexander Technique

“Recognize that unlearning is the highest form of learning.” -Rumi

Unlearning is at the heart of Alexander Technique lessons, which focuses on re-education around movement habits, tension patterns, and posture. The ability to think about your own thinking in real time (and how you move) is called metacognition. Somatic education and metacognition is incredibly therapeutic by increasing embodiment and agency. Embodied agency is why Alexander Technique can have longer lasting effects than a massage. With Alexander you’re learning to be more your own elegant mechanic and driver, whereas with massage you’re simply having your car tuned up.

Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows for easy movement. You may be asked to remove your shoes, so wear socks or shoes that slip on and off easily. If you have specific habits or activities you'd like to address—such as playing a musical instrument, using a laptop, or performing—bring those items so your teacher can observe you in action. It's also helpful to come prepared to discuss your goals, whether that's relieving chronic pain, improving posture, or enhancing performance, along with any relevant medical history or physical injuries.

  • "Jimmy is really smart. My craft always improves after I re-tune my awareness through his methods. His integrated modalities don’t just change how I move, they change how I think about moving."

—Julie Lake, from Emmy-winning Orange is the New Black

  • "I have been dealing with a broken foot that has been slow to heal. After only one PT session with Jimmy, my foot was able to “let go” of the stuck state that it was holding on to and the healing process has accelerated after doing PT with him. He gives a full understanding of where your body is at, he explains why and then onto explaining what needs to happen next to achieve the desired results for one to be comfortable back in your body with mobility and health as it was created to be. Life changer!"

    —Susan
